Our "Adventure - Pa Tsel Chen" Bhutan trip option features travel to the breathtaking region of Eastern Bhutan, a less-traveled, more remote, and less-developed part of the country. Here, visitors will experience our two largest vineyards—GorTshalu and Norzenthang. Weather conditions in Bhutan in the summer can be difficult to predict, and travel to the East is even more unpredictable at this time of year—so travelers who choose this option should expect an adventurous, and perhaps malleable, trip! Transportation to and from the East may include in-country flight(s) and/or driving. In addition to vineyard visits and activities in Eastern Bhutan, you will experience the magic and mystery of the country by hiking the fabled Tiger’s Nest monastery outside of Paro, visiting the Trashigang Dzong to take in the remarkable views of the Eastern Bhutan Valley, and partaking in other cultural sight-seeing as available. Visitors will also enjoy a wide array of specially curated fine wine and dining experiences during your stay.
Our "Classic - Chir Tang" Bhutan trip option features travel in the Western and central part of Bhutan, including Paro, the Punakha Valley, and the capital city of Thimphu. Travellers on this trip will experience 3-4 of our vineyards and, depending on harvest dates, will include the opportunity to harvest grapes in the vineyards and/or partake in elements of the wine-making production process. Along with wine activities, you will experience the magic and mystery of the country by hiking the fabled Tiger’s Nest monastery outside of Paro, visiting the picturesque Punakha Dzong in the Punakha Valley and Golden Buddha in Thimphu, as well as partaking in other cultural sightseeing as available. This itinerary includes an optional white water rafting outing down the Pho Chhu River in Punakha, river conditions permitting! Visitors will also enjoy a wide array of specially curated fine wine and dining experiences during your stay. Weather conditions in Bhutan in the summer can be difficult to predict so itineraries may be modified in country if weather impacts occur.

Day 1: Saturday
Arrive at Paro Airport via Delhi or Bangkok, greeted by a member of our team!
Head to the hotel to check in and relax, perhaps taking in a spa treatment or massage at the hotel.
Prior to dinner, meet up with the rest of the week’s participants at a welcome gathering. Then indulge in a Welcome Dinner at the hotel, with a specially curated food menu and some awesome wine!
Day 2: Sunday
After breakfast at the hotel, head out to hike the fabled Tiger’s Nest monastery, a sacred Buddhist site outside of Paro. While making your way up the ascent, take in beautiful views of the Paro Valley below and the awe-inspiring sight of the monastery built onto a cliffside, before arriving at the top to visit the temples inside. After the trek, gather with the group for a late gourmet lunch with a glass of well-deserved champagne. Later that evening, head into Paro town for dinner at a local Bhutanese restaurant.
Day 3: Monday
Leave the hotel in Paro to drive to the Punakha Valley—about a three-hour drive. Along the way, stop at the Ser Bhum vineyard, located about halfway up the road toward the top of the Dochula Pass, where—if it’s a clear day—you may glimpse a view of the snow-capped Himalayan Mountain peaks. At Ser Bhum, walk through the vineyard and stop for a cold beer at the Ser Bhum Brewery, located next door. Continue the drive to the Punakha Valley, with a visit to the Bajo vineyard, before heading to the hotel. Prior to dinner, visit the picturesque Punakha Dzong, a majestic example of Bhutan’s administrative, religious, and monastic structures situated in each district. Dinner with the group will follow.
Day 4: Tuesday
It’s Harvest Day! Drive to Pinsa vineyard, about an hour away, to harvest grapes in the vineyard! Spend the late morning and afternoon picking and sorting grapes, breaking for a well-deserved lunch (with a celebratory glass of bubbles, of course!) in the vineyard, taking in the gorgeous view around you. After a day of harvesting, and maybe a dip of your feet in the nearby river to cool off, head back to the hotel to rest and relax, before a group dinner.
Day 5: Wednesday
For those with an adventurous spirit, spend the morning white water rafting the Pho Chhu River in Punakha (river conditions permitting)! Afterward, visit the valley’s famed suspension bridge, an opportune photo opp of the surrounding valley, before making the one-hour drive to the capital city of Thimphu. Before the group’s dinner together, take in the view with a drink at a bar along the river just outside of town, a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the memories of the day’s activities!
Day 6: Thursday
Enjoy the cultural sites of the capital city of Thimphu, which may include visiting the towering Golden Buddha overlooking the city, taking part in the national sport of archery, visiting an energy healing center, or taking a hike to a local hilltop spot with city views or participating in a yoga workshop. In the afternoon, visit the many shops in town to stock up on local souvenirs and gifts to bring home. The evening’s group dinner will be held at a rooftop restaurant with gorgeous views of the city lights and mountains.
Day 7: Friday
After breakfast, spend time doing last minute souvenir shopping or stopping at the city’s daily food and spice market, before preparing to head back to Paro for the last evening activities. Celebrate new friends and unforgettable memories at the group’s Departure Dinner featuring a specially planned menu and wine pairings!
Day 8: Saturday
Depart Paro Airport for Delhi or Bangkok International Airports to catch your flights home!
